Hello, I’m Holly Casio and I make zines, comics, and art.

Here you can find out more about my zines and comics and my work with the Queer Zine Library.

Holly Casio (she/they) is a diy zine maker, queer comic artist, and zine librarian living in Dover, UK.

Since the 90s, Holly Casio has made zines, comic, and art about queer communities, pop culture, diy punk, and activism.

Holly’s longest running zine series Me and Bruce chronicles a lifelong obsession with Bruce Springsteen, queer identities, and class. This zine series culminated in Holly's debut graphic memoir Looking For Bruce (2021) : an 80 page comic road trip adventure through New Jersey on a spiritual pilgrimage to feel closer to Bruce Springsteen.

Holly’s auto-bio comic series Cool Schmool documents friendships, sobriety, trade unions, and playing in queer punk bands. Holly uses comics to record daily life, including their weekly online covid comics, and most recently their series on Joy and happiness for Wellcome.

Holly Casio is also zine librarian and developed zine collections at Invia’s Stuart Hall Library, and Tate Britain. They co-founded the UK and Ireland Zine Librarians network, and co-founded the Queer Zine Library.

Holly’s zines are collected in the British Library, Queer Zine Archive Project, and the Bruce Springsteen Special Collections held at Monmouth University, New Jersey.
