Hello, I’m Holly Casio and I make queer zines, comics, and art.

Holly Casio (they/them) is a diy zine maker, queer comic artist, and zine librarian living in Dover, UK.

Holly makes queer zines and diy comics about pop culture, fandoms, ani-fascism, libraries, and Bruce Springsteen.

Holly Casio’s autobio comic series Cool Schmool documents the everyday from trade union battles, playing punk gigs, friendship breakdowns, and fighting fascists. Their debut graphic memoir Looking for Bruce shares the story of fandom, obsession, and making a New Jersey pilgrimage to somehow feel closer to Bruce Springsteen.

Holly uses comics for activism and self-published a collection of comics in support of Palestinian liberation Not gay as in happy, queer as in free Palestine raising funds to purchase e-sims for Gaza. Their cartoons were also included in the Cartoonists for Palestine anthology (Crucial Comix, 2024) and will feature in the upcoming Cartoonists for Gaza (Herne Books, 2026).

Holly Casio is also zine librarian and developed zine collections at Invia’s Stuart Hall Library, and Tate Britain. They co-founded the UK and Ireland Zine Librarians network, and co-founded the Queer Zine Library. Their zines are collected in the British Library, Queer Zine Archive Project, and the Bruce Springsteen Special Collections held at Monmouth University, New Jersey.

Holly is the co-host of Because the Boss belongs to us: a 7 part podcast exploring Bruce Springsteen as a queer icon.
